- DRAWWORKS:
- OIME SD-5 (upgraded to 1,000 HP) powered by two Caterpillar 3406B
TA engines with torque converters (425 HP each). NOTE: Rig has independent
rotary drive (Cat 3406) and transmission.
- PUMPS:
- Two Gardner Denver PZ-9 (1,000 HP), each powered
by separate Caterpillar D-3508 TA engines (900 HP).
- MAST:
- DSI 131' height, 18' 6" wide base, 650,000 lb. gross nominal capacity. 450,000 lb. hook load
strung with ten (10) lines.
- SUBSTRUCTURE:
- 17' R.K.B. 12' 6" working space below rotary beams. Occupies a 40' x 40' space.
- DRILL COLLARS:
- Twenty-one 6 1/4" x 2 13/16" x 31' drill collars with 4 1/2" X-Hole connections.
- DRILL PIPE:
- 4 1/2" XH (NC46) 20# per foot. Grade X-95 and 16.6# per foot G-105 drill pipe.
- BLOW OUT PREVENTERS:
- One 11" Cameron "Type U" 5,000 lb. double ram BOP and one Hydril 11" 3,000 lb. annular BOP. Valcon
60 gallon, four station accumulator. One 5000# National choke manifold.
- One 5,000 lb. choke manifold.
- MUD TANKS:
- One 432 bbl. capacity, modular-type mud system, including one 30 bbl. slugging compartment, one
35 bbl. sand trap, and two 6" Venturi mud hoppers. Tanks include two 5" x 6" centrifugal pumps to
provide submergible agitation, mud mixing, desanding and desilting. Tanks also include a Brandt
"King Cobra" graduated, high speed, linear motion shale shaker, one large cone high volume desander,
a ten cone Brandt "King Cobra" mud cleaner, and an electrically driven agitator in each tank.
- MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT:
- Large air-conditioned bunk house with computer, telephone, and fax. Large utility unit with air
compressor, water pump, two light plants (375 KW each), dressing room, and 100 bbl. water tank. All other miscellaneous equipment necessary to make up a complete
drilling rig to drill to 13,000 feet with 4 1/2" O.D. drill pipe.
